Hobbs Brook Management has supported the Waltham Education and Beyond Foundation since its inception in 2007. Most recently, Tom Dusel, president and chief operating officer of Hobbs Brook Management, donated five full classrooms worth of pre-kindergarten furniture to the Waltham School System. The furniture was originally used in a preschool/daycare operated by Tom’s wife, Diana.

“Tom and Hobbs Brook Management have always been an enormous asset to the community of Waltham,” said Dr. Susan Parella, superintendent of the Waltham School System. “Thanks to their generous support, we have been able to provide resources to our family school program which would have gone unmet. The Dusels lead by example and are the type of benefactors we highly value in this organization. Their support and interest in the development of Waltham’s youth is invaluable.”

Hobbs Brook Management is the owner and property manager of the Forefront Conference Center located in Hobbs Brook Office Park and Tom Dusel serves as the president of the Waltham Education and Beyond Foundation. This foundation functions as a town-wide educational foundation that works to provide resources across the school system rather than limiting them to a particular school. Funds raised by the foundation become the source of grant money for the Excellence in Education program which is open to Waltham Public school teachers, staff, administrators and parents.

“Since the Waltham Education and Beyond foundation was established, we’ve always been able to count on Hobbs Brook Management for unparalleled support of our efforts,” said Deborah Marcou, chairperson of the Waltham Education and Beyond Foundation. “Hobbs Brook Management, with Tom as its leader, has always given back to the community in ways that makes the town better. We are lucky to have them as members and supporters.”

About the Waltham Education and Beyond Foundation

The foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides help to students and teachers of Waltham’s public schools. Formed in July of 2007, the foundation raises money to help develop programs not funded through tax dollars. Largely supported by sponsors, teachers apply directly for grant money to fund their initiatives. The program offers small grants up to $1000 for projects typically benefiting a single classroom, and major grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 to benefit a larger number of students.
