Leading law firm leased 20,620 RSF at Rhode Island office park
WALTHAM, Mass. – January 9, 2018 – Hobbs Brook Management LLC, a commercial property management and development firm specializing in leasing, construction and development of Class A office space, is pleased to announce that prominent New England and Florida law firm, Pannone Lopes Devereaux & O’Gara LLC (PLDO), distinguished for its innovative approach to modern legal representation, has signed a multi-year lease for 20,620 RSF at its Northwoods Office Park at 1301 Atwood Avenue in Johnston, R.I.
PLDO chose Northwoods for its amenities-rich campus environment, cutting edge technology capabilities and professional services accommodations, such as its multipurpose facility and dining area. The full service law firm moved into the new contemporary space on February 21, 2017. Designed by Bisbono and Associates, the suite features a streamlined office floor plan with over 40 offices, several large conference rooms and a board room for client and employee meetings and events. The upscale, contemporary space opens with an inviting entryway and reception area.

In 2016, Hobbs Brook transformed the existing 1301 Atwood Avenue facility with a complete repositioning, creating a LEED Gold certified, 338,600 SF high-performance and amenity-rich Class A office building. Designed by Margulies Perruzzi Architects (MPA), one of Boston’s most innovative architectural and interior design firms, and built to Hobbs Brook’s high standards for sustainability and efficiency, the repositioning consisted of a complete replacement of the building’s exterior and the addition of 30,000 SF to the building’s footprint. Originally built in 1972, virtually all aspects of the building are now new, with the exception of the pre-stressed concrete beam structure. The building features all new energy efficient mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and recycled materials.
