Hobbs Brook Management Starts 2017 with Five New Leases

55,289 RSF leased to new and existing tenants in Wakefield, Mass. and Johnston, R.I.

WALTHAM, Mass. – February 14, 2017 Hobbs Brook Management LLC, a commercial property management and development firm specializing in leasing, construction and development of Class A office space, announced today that it has successfully negotiated five leases for 55,289 RSF in its office parks in Wakefield, Mass. and Johnston, R.I.

New Tenants

  • American Arbitration Association, a nationwide, not-for-profit organization providing alternative dispute resolution services to individuals and organizations who wish to resolve conflicts out of court, signed a new 11-year, 6-month lease for 11,371 RSF at 1301 Atwood in Johnston, R.I. American Arbitration was represented by Chris Krauss of JLL. Pete Hayes and Matt Fair of Hayes & Sherry Real Estate Services, a Cushman & Wakefield Alliance member, represented Hobbs Brook Management. The lease will commence on June 1, 2017.
  • PalliaTech, a biotech leader in product development, science advancement, and accessibility in the cannabis industry, signed a new three-year lease for 2,672 RSF at 301 Edgewater in Wakefield, Mass. PalliaTech was represented by Rob Cronin from Lincoln Property Company and Bob Borgman of Wyman Street Advisors was the broker for Hobbs Brook Management. The lease was effective on October 1, 2016.
  • Worldwide Logistics, a freight transportation management company, signed a new 5-year lease for 1,529 RSF at 301 Edgewater in Wakefield, Mass beginning on January 1, 2017. Bob Borgman of Wyman Street Advisors represented both Worldwide Logistics and Hobbs Brook Management.

Lease Renewals/Extensions

  • HCC Specialty Underwriters, Inc., a specialty insurance company providing services to promotion marketing, sports, and entertainment industries, has extended its 34,139 RSF lease at 401 Edgewater in Wakefield, Mass. for seven years and three months. The renewal, effective March 1, 2017, was brokered by Don King of Jones Lang LaSalle in Houston, Texas, and Chip Batchelder of Wyman Street Advisors.
  • Mutual Fire Insurance Association of New England, an association of New England domiciled property and casualty insurance companies, has extended its 5,578 RSF lease at 500 Edgewater for an additional seven years. Tim Brodigan of Colliers represented Mutual Fire and Bob Borgman of Wyman Street Advisors represented Hobbs Brook Management.
